Week 40

How Far Along: 40 Weeks

Weight Gain: About 37 pounds.
Stretch Marks? No, thank goodness we made it!
Maternity Clothes: Maxi Dresses all day!
Sleep: I've been sleeping fine, just getting really really hot at night even with the fan on top of me at full blast and the AC on 69. It's so hot!
Best Moment This Week: Organizing the house and making sure everything is ready for baby, which it is, but no baby!
Worst Moment This Week: OMG! Waiting! Seriously, this wait sucks! I am so anxious to meet her and just hold her! I have done EVERYTHING to naturally induce labor and seriously, nothing works. Don't believe those Old Wives' Tales, clearly whatever worked for anyone is coincidence because I've been doing everything everyday for a week now, and no baby! So yeah, babies will come whenever THEY want!
Miss Anything: Feeling like myself, being able to do whatever I want!
Movement: Yes, and I am going to miss it so much! As much as I want her out of my belly, it will be so weird to not have her in there.
Cravings: Not anything specific anymore. I'm to the point where I just want raw fish, Subway, and a beer by the pool!
Queasy or Sick: Not really.

Labor Signs: Just the contractions and lower back pain. Today (9/17) is finally my Due Date and there's no sign of Baby Girl coming any time soon unfortunately. I thought it would be pretty cool for her to be here today!
Belly Button In or Out? Sometimes in, sometimes a liiiiiitle bit out!
Wedding Rings On or Off? Off. Hopefully they'll fit right after baby is out! I miss my rings!
Happy or Moody Most of the Time: Happy, anxious, tired, hot.....
Looking Forward To: Just having this baby! Come onnnnnnn! I'm tired of looking at an empty nursery! I think this is what I'll be looking forward to until she is out!

Week 39

How Far Along: 39 Weeks

Weight Gain: About 37 pounds.
Stretch Marks? No, and I read that they can come AFTER the baby, and I'm dying at the thought.
Maternity Clothes: Here and there. Mostly still just wearing my regular clothes when I can. Maxi dresses are my life right now, and short dresses that used to be a little long on me, which now fit shorter but are not inappropriate.
Sleep: I've been having to switch sides more often since whatever side I'm laying on tends to fall asleep.
Best Moment This Week: Surprise Baby Shower from my kiddos. They were so cute and didn't mind all the pink. I teach all boys!
Worst Moment This Week: Honestly, the closer I get and the more I think about the baby coming, I'm having anxiety. Not over birth, not over becoming a mom, but anxiety about people. When I'm sick I want people to stay away from me, I just want to be alone... I can't imagine being in labor with people around me. I know that family and friends will want to be there for support, but I honestly just want to be alone. Well, with my husband obviously, but I'm having anxiety at the thought of me being in pain and people being there just watching me, asking me if I'm ok or telling me that everything will be alright. Obviously I'm not ok if I'm in terrible pain, and I know everything will be ok! I don't want to be rude to anyone or offend anyone, but at the same time I have to think about ME and what I want! You know? It's so hard!!!!! I wish I could just go to the hospital with my husband, without anyone knowing, have the baby and THEN call everyone, because seriously, who knows how long I'll be in labor till the baby ACTUALLY comes? But then I know feelings will be hurt, etc. See! I can't even think about that right now, I'm freaking out.
Miss Anything: Same old, sleeping however I want, being able to fit into my clothes, etc.
Movement: Mostly on the right side still, she's been kicking me harder and harder.
Cravings: Ice Cream.. I've basically had a sweet tooth this whole pregnancy.
Queasy or Sick: Not really.

Labor Signs: Just the contractions and lower back pain. Ok, ready for TMI? The doctor checked me last week (Wednesday 9/9) and she really really hurt me, it felt terrible! Well, when I got home, I was bleeding! So I think I lost my mucus plug cause that whole night, and the rest of the next day gooey stuff was coming out every time I wiped lol. Told you, TMI, but hey, this is a pregnancy update! It's gonna be gross!
Belly Button In or Out? Sometimes in, sometimes a liiiiiitle bit out!
Wedding Rings On or Off? Off, wearing a fake, huge blinded out one cause people always stare at my bump, then look at my hand, so yes people, I AM married ok!
Happy or Moody Most of the Time: Happy, anxious, tired, hot.....
Looking Forward To: Just having this baby! Come onnnnnnn! I'm tired of looking at an empty nursery!

Week 38

How Far Along: 38 Weeks

Weight Gain: About 33-35 pounds still. It changes depending on when I weigh myself.
Stretch Marks? No, and I'm terrified for them to come!
Maternity Clothes: That's what I've been rocking, the few maternity clothes I have and lots of dresses!
Sleep: Not bad, besides waking up to use the bathroom.
Best Moment This Week: Finishing up everything that needed to be done and buying the rest of  baby must haves. Also, work shower was nice. :)
Worst Moment This Week: Experiencing contractions for the first time. Like the real deal! I timed them and they were like 6-7 minutes apart and went away when I laid down so I knew I wasn't in labor just yet.
Miss Anything: Fitting into normal clothes. It's so hard to pick out outfits to wear.
Movement: Mostly on the right side, and it's more of a pushing against my belly feeling and not so much moving around.
Cravings: Sweets still!
Queasy or Sick: Hmmm a bit dizzy now and then.

Week 37

How Far Along: 37 Weeks

Weight Gain: About 33-35 pounds.
Stretch Marks? No, but definitely lots of veins on my belly and boobs.
Maternity Clothes: Some, they fit me best though, every time I wear an actual maternity dress I get a lot of compliments. :)
Sleep: Pretty good actually.
Best Moment This Week: Getting the Baby's HALO Bassinest, mamaRoo and Boon High Chair!
Worst Moment This Week: Soooooo swollen! My feet and hands. After a day of work it feels like I just walked around a theme park for 12 hours, it's crazy. And the heat. Ugh.
Miss Anything: Being comfortable.
Movement: Yes! I feel bad, I feel like she's so uncomfortable in there! My poor baby.
Cravings: Water and sweets.

How Far Along: 36 Weeks

Weight Gain: About 30ish pounds.
Stretch Marks? No, but definitely lots of veins on my belly.
Maternity Clothes: OMG, back to work has been brutal with choosing clothes every morning. I feel like I need to choose one dress and wear it every single day until I give birth because everything is so uncomfortable and I refuse to buy bigger work clothes this late in the game.
Sleep: Fine.
Best Moment This Week: Starting school! Even though it's not as easy being 9 month pregnant, I like having a schedule and hanging out with my students and coworkers doing what I love.
Worst Moment This Week: My back! Sciatica! Feeling weak... Swollen feet, not being able to handle the heat.. Can't wait for winter and for Baby Girl to be out lol!
Miss Anything: Being able to bend down and lift things, just being able to be independent for everything.
Movement: Yes! Lots of hiccuping which was freaking me out because it has been happening so much more, but my doctor said it's fine and a sign of maturity.
Cravings: Water! Is water a craving? Cause I want water all the time.
Queasy or Sick: Not this week.

Week 35

How Far Along: 35 Weeks

Weight Gain: About 30ish pounds.
Stretch Marks? No, come on only a little longer!
Maternity Clothes: I hate clothes right now.
Sleep: Napping a lot more now that I'm back to work!
Best Moment This Week: Talking to my doctor about my birth plan, finding out I'm 1 cm dilated. I truly truly LOVE my doctor, she's amazing.
Worst Moment This Week: My back! Sciatica! Feeling weak.. Ugh. Baby Girl is kicking my ass. Having a melt down over my "messy" house lol, I just want everything clean and perfect.
Miss Anything: Feeling like myself.
Movement: Yes! Lots and lots and lots, especially at night.
Cravings: Nothing really this week, I guess Ramen Noodles, I've had lots of that.
Queasy or Sick: Yeah, pretty queasy actually, I thought I was going to pass out at work the other day, I didn't understand it because I was fed and super hydrated, but still felt so weak.. Weird!

Week 34

How Far Along: 34 Weeks

Weight Gain: About 30ish pounds.
Stretch Marks? No, but I definitely have been feeling some pulling and stretching from the inside. I'm freaking out!!!
Maternity Clothes: I don't even wanna talk about clothes, seriously.
Sleep: Still waking up multiple times at night, especially to pee! So annoying and painful to get up because all of Baby Girl's weight goes on my bladder. Ugh!
Best Moment This Week: Just feeling more movement, it's definitely more intense now and I love knowing that she's ok in there, being silly and flipping around.
Worst Moment This Week: My back! My back hurts so bad all the time and she's still pinching the same nerve, making my whole right side get numb.
Miss Anything: Fitting into my regular clothes, and being able to sit for a while without my back or belly hurting... Same old.
Movement: Yes! I love it!!!
Cravings: Nothing really this week.
Queasy or Sick: Not really.

Maternity Clothes: Yes. But been rocking the maxi dresses and maxi skirts cause the maternity jeans are baggy.
Sleep: Still waking up multiple times at night, especially to pee! So annoying and painful to get up.
Best Moment This Week: Feeling Baby Girl hiccup all the time. Even though I won't lie, it tends to get annoying after 5 minutes lol, it's like my stomach is having a mini seizure cause it's tiny little baby shakes every second.
Worst Moment This Week: Going into my classroom and not being able to move things myself, unpack, lift things, get up on chairs to put things up on my wall.. Such a struggle!
Miss Anything: Fitting into my regular clothes, and being able to sit for a while without my back or belly hurting... That's still a fact, and now my feet hurt so bad after being on them for a while.
Movement: Yes! She's booty shaking and punching and kicking me all day.
Cravings: ICE ICE WATER! Super cold icy water with extra ice. I want it all day... But then PEE!!! Ohhhhh the struggle!
Queasy or Sick: Still light headed here and there.

Maternity Clothes: Yes. Unfortunately even a XS Petite pair of maternity jeans are big on me! They sag, it's so annoying!! But there's definitely no way regular jeans will fit me lol! Shorts work though! :)
Sleep: Still waking up multiple times at night, sadly. Mostly to go to the bathroom. Lately I've been able to fall right back asleep though, thankfully! Lets hope I didn't just jinx myself.
Best Moment This Week: The Baby Shower! Everything was beautiful and Baby Girl got so many clothes, she won't even be able to wear them all, lol!
Worst Moment This Week: Back pains, it sucks to be so uncomfortable all the time.
Miss Anything: Fitting into my regular clothes, and being able to sit for a while without my back or belly hurting.
Movement: Yes! She definitely responds to sounds now.

Best Moment This Week: Seeing Baby Girl in 4D! She is sooo cute and I'm one happy mama! And, MATERNITY PICTURES!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot wait to share!
Worst Moment This Week: Honestly, I can't complain about this week!
Miss Anything: Being able to wear whatever I want and feel comfortable.
Movement: Yes! She's a little dancer.
Cravings: Still sweets! Ice cream, shakes, smoothies... Yum!

Best Moment This Week: Naples mini vacation. I hung out at the pool all day and ate junk haha.
Worst Moment This Week: Same as last week.. No sleep, numbness on my stomach, back pains.
Miss Anything: Being able to fit in my normal sized clothes and bend over.
Movement: Yes, I've been trying so hard to get some movement on video, but of course every time I take out my phone to record she stops.
Cravings: Ice cream and Coconut Water.
Queasy or Sick: Not really, I just get so full so fast when I eat and it hurts!

How Far Along: 29 Weeks
Weight Gain: About 23-25 pounds.
Stretch Marks? Nope! Yayyyyyy! Fingers crossed forever!
Maternity Clothes: I finally invested in some maternity jeans, because I can't stand not being able to wear jeans when I want. Also, I finally tried on some nursing bras, but I didn't buy any yet because I'm still growing! I've gone from a 32D to a 36DD so far, and milk is still coming!! Even though they're kind of awkward, I'm going to miss my pregnant boobs haha!
Sleep: What is that? Seriously, I don't sleep. I can't go to sleep early, then I wake up in the middle of the night and can't go back to sleep for another 3 hours, then I finally fall back asleep again for another 3-4 hours.. So weird!
Best Moment This Week: Finding out I passed the Glucose Test! Hooray! You can read about it here. I got a 103, and 140 was failing, according to the lab lady, so I'm happy I get to eat ice cream all I want! Well, all baby wants! I've been on an ice cream craze!
Worst Moment This Week: No sleep, numbness on my stomach, back pains.. The usual.
Miss Anything: Getting a full night of uninterrupted sleep, beer by the pool and raw fish.
Movement: Yes, Baby Girl started to do this crazy thing where it feels like there's an alien in my stomach trying to come out. Also, I had a super weird dream, where I was in bed with hubby and the baby started to push in my stomach, and I could see her hand!! Like perfectly!!!! It was so bizarre! So I told Jaime (hubby) to go get the camera to take a picture, and I was holding her little hand through my stomach, and he couldn't get a good picture and I was getting mad because I didn't want to hold her hand so hard because I was afraid of hurting her!!! So I was mad, and then I guess my skin opened on my stomach and I just pulled her out lol! She was the tiniest little baby. What a crazy dream huh?!
Cravings: Ice cream and ice cream shakes, and ice cream lol!

How Far Along: 28 Weeks
Weight Gain: About 22-23 pounds.
Stretch Marks? Nope! I would be crying every single day.
Maternity Clothes: Pants and bigger sized regular shirts.
Sleep: I started to wake up at around 4:30AM every night, and I usually can't go back to sleep for 2-3 hours... It's so annoying! But I guess Baby Girl is preparing me for what's to come! Thank God I'm a teacher and I have summers off because I don't know what I would do going to work on like 5 hours of sleep every day!
Best Moment This Week: Going shopping for the baby shower, it's getting closer and I'm so excited to celebrate Baby Girl with all my ladies!
Worst Moment This Week: The Glucose Test. Even though it wasn't as bad as I thought, my nerves were crazy! Read about it here.
Miss Anything: Getting a full night of uninterrupted sleep still!!!
Movement: Yes, she's a dancer! Good! Because I definitely plan on putting her in dance class and I hope she loves it!

Week 27

How Far Along: 27 Weeks
Weight Gain: About 22 pounds give or take.
Stretch Marks? No! Hooray! Come on 13 more weeks left, don't do this to me!
Maternity Clothes: Mostly just bigger sized regular clothes.
Sleep: I still get very hot at night and wake up a few times due to that, and to go to the bathroom.
Best Moment This Week: All the fun in the sun! This heat is unbearable and being in the pool feels so good, while it's still freaking hot, it's nice to have a tan! Also finally changing my name, even though I honestly didn't want to, I'm happy I'll have the same last name as my husband and daughter.
Worst Moment This Week: This baby girl just loves pinching nerves now! It hurts and it's so uncomfortable! I hope it doesn't last throughout the whole pregnancy!!!
Miss Anything: Getting a full night of uninterrupted sleep!
Movement: Oh yes! And now I can tell the difference between a flip and a kick. It's so cool that I'm getting to experience this!
Cravings: Sweets! If I see it, I want it! Cookies, cake, brownies, ICE CREAM! Fruits.. Sweets!
Queasy or Sick: Queasy here and there, and the heat has been making me sick if I'm outside, walking from the car to a store, etc.

Week 26

How Far Along: 26 Weeks
Weight Gain: About 18-20 pounds.
Stretch Marks? Nope! But because I can't stay out of the sun this summer my linea nigra is now showing up above my belly button and getting darker... Oh well, I'm over it.
Maternity Clothes: I actually started wearing my regular jeans again sometimes because they still fit perfectly around my legs, I just can't zip or button them lol. Whatever, I haven't had any luck with maternity pants at all! Plus, it's like over 90 degrees every day here and I can't deal with the belly bands from the maternity pants, too hot!
Sleep: Has been terrible, worst worst worst ever! I get too hot during the night so I wake up all the time and then Baby Girl pinches nerves and I just can't get comfortable!
Best Moment This Week: Our little Key West get away. It was nice to go somewhere and have fun!
Worst Moment This Week: Sleep stinks! Not being able to sleep comfotably, specially on the right side, which is the side I sleep on.
Movement: She's moving, she likes when I eat sweets, she goes crazy haha.
Cravings: Ice Cream!

Week 25

How Far Along: 25 Weeks
Weight Gain: About 18 pounds.
Stretch Marks? Nope! I can definitely see veins on my belly and my linea nigra is now showing up above my belly button.
Maternity Clothes: I got some maternity tops since they're stretchy on the side and most of my regular shirts are beginning to look tight and some ride up.
Sleep: Has been terrible this week due to me being sick.. I know! Again!
Best Moment This Week: SEEING my belly move! And partial nursery reveal to some of the family. Now all we need is to decorate it more!
Worst Moment This Week: Being super sick. I think I have a sinus infection.. I'm pretty sure. I gave in and took some Tylenol because I was so miserable after a whole entire day with a migraine. I just needed some relief. I was so bad that the Neti Pot didn't even work because I was too congested, the water wouldn't go through to the other side!
Movement: She's dancing around in there, it's much more intense than before, I can't even imagine how it's going to be in the third trimester haha.
Cravings: Cake and strawberry milkshakes.
Queasy or Sick: Queasy in the mornings.
Have You Started To Show Yet: Yes, even Baby Girl's kicks show through haha.
Gender: It's a girl!
Labor Signs: None
Belly Button In or Out? I don't even know. It's not in, but it's not poking out... So I guess in the middle?

Happy or Moody Most of the Time: Happy, besides being sick. But that's not baby's fault!
Looking Forward To: Picking a name. Everyone has been calling her this one name I've always loved, just because they know I like it. But we will see! Hubby needs to decide.. It actually makes me mad, and you don't wanna mess with a pregnant woman!!

We celebrated my mom's birthday too.

We had hibachi at Japan Inn.. Hence the Kimono style dress haha!
